Here I am, Send me!

Here is a blog about all my gettings up to, goings on and life as a reconciliation agent
(missionary: on a mission. From God). How exciting.

Keeping it Real.

It is so interesting that in the last few days people have been stranded in countries that they weren't meant to spend so long in! It has been chaotic for some, for others, an inconvenience that they make the most of. Some have probably been happy for the extra time away from 'the real life'.

There is not much that you can do when circumstances take away your 'plans' and make you think differently, or try a different direction or make a decision you would never have made otherwise.

I welcome such opportunities. You see, I am not a control freak. I welcome change and can adapt to the most frustrating circumstances. It is how I have been brought up, and how I will always be. I love a challenge, and challenging people! Doing the thing I do, you have to be organised and have some sort of 'control' of the situation, but at the same time have a lot of 'plan B's' because life does not always turn out how you think it does, or how others say it will.

One of my favourite memories of such a situation is when I was on outreach in Thailand, and we were meant to be entertaining a whole school of 400 children, and we were told we were to prepare for 1 hour. So we did just that, and had a good 1 hour program (if I do say so myself). Upon arrival we were surprised with the news that we had another 30 minutes! Crap! Just Great! What can we do......?

I sang a song. :D

That makes everything all better! Haha!

Must Rejoice!

I have just finished doing my Newsletter for the spring, it took 3 hours to do tonight, plus about 2 hours another time before. Yay!

I hope people read it....

Life on Restenäs is positivily sunny these days, which makes life much more HAPPY! There is more reason to go out for a walk, go and play sports, go to the sea. All of this I could have done yesterday, on Sunday, except I didn't. Because I was sick! I had been busy the whole weekend hosting a youth group here, and I woke up with a migraine! Evil things. So, I spent most of the day in bed, watching people outside, playing. Thankfully though, I got somewhat better towards the end of the day, so I went out with some friends to a nearby cliff and we ate ice cream and drank coffee. For 20 minutes. Then went back home again, because is was windy.

Life this week will be preparing for the Church we are visiting this weekend, it will be so much fun!

Laters!

Ok. Lots to do. Time to Rest. Aaah!

Hello! I write to you from a very lonely office, my team-mates are out and about, and it's raining outside... what to do.....write a BLOG! So I did. One in Swedish for our Mission Adventures blog, and thought I'd update this one too....

Tomorrow I am singing at my first wedding of 2010! Last year I sang at 3 weddings, and this year I have 2! I am the wedding singer! But it's great because I actually like doing it. I get to go to the reception, look nice, eat good food and meet new people! Who knows, perhaps one might meet very interesting people there! (wink :) wink, if you know what I mean)

That aside, my life is good, I have been busy with the mob team, travelling Sweden and inspiring the masses! I got healed (one leg was shorter than the other and it grew.... so COOL!), and have prayed for others who have been healed as a result. AMEN! God is real, Good, and awesome. Just thought I'd say.

Rest

On Sunday I am going to visit my Cousin in Luxembourg for a week before my life gets even more manic! April is going to be PACKED! So I got a cheap flight and will rest a little there. Yay.

Must skedaddle! Hope you are happy and loved! I know I am!

New Beginnings!
Saturday, 06 March 2010 01:41

Today is a day where many people will be saying
good-bye to friends, saying hi to families, and some will be anticipating the exciting months ahead, while others will wonder what to do?!

Today class of the autumn DTS (Discipleship Training School) will graduate.
It is their last day! So family and friends will hear about their adventures serving God in other countries, there will be some cake (yay!) and then they will be taken home. Seeing them go, are two new DTS's that started last week (Korean DTS, and Justice and Development DTS), and they will get encouraged and excited for what they will do and learn!

It is awesome to see how much Jesus
transforms people in the course of only six months! They have spent this time getting to know God their father, Jesus their Saviour, and the Holy Spirit their friend. They have learned how to love their neighbour as they love God. They have learned how much God loves them. They see their identity in Him. They have experienced new cultures and made some great friends.

So now they are asking '
what's next?'. Well, this question doesn't seem so daunting when they realise how much God wants to plan with them and walk with them in everything they do. What a great support! He will never leave us!

Tonight I will be leading worship for this graduation. This celebration. Their experience is our experience (us who live here and pray with them and serve them). What a joy!

Bye!

Singing Revolutions
Wednesday, 03 February 2010 00:00
I'm sitting here by my computer, in Tallinn, Estonia, in a quite-nice-cheap-hotel. Märit is getting ready for bed and Ellen is sick in bed :( . We brought 2 McDonald cheeseburgers back for her but she didn't care to eat them.... Perhaps they might keep for the morning (the breakfasts here are are served in a brown paper bag ready for 'collection' between 7 & 10am, and are not that filling)! In fact, you might as well eat a Maccy D's....

We have been meeting some key people here, checking out possibilities to come with some youth here in the summer. I like Estonia. It's so easy being 'normal' here because we all look the same. No one stops and stares when they see me walking down the street. The locals speak estonian to me, until they see the silly look on my face! (whaaa?)

It's very snowy outside. And I got my hair cut. I like having short hair, it's FUN!

Tomorrow I am going to watch a movie called the 'Singing Revolutions'. Then for meetings all day! That's cool too, I like meeting new people!

Over.
