This weekend was a complete emotional rollercoaster yet I loved every minute of it. Firstly the Swedes. What awesome people with such a heart for God. I loved them all and have definitely made friends who I will stay in touch with for life. The worship was fantastic. It was just so simple to just lift my voice to God and let go. Sweden as a country is just beautiful. It was just amazing to watch the sun go down and see the stunning view. I think my relationship with God has taken yet another step forward this week and I have had more scripture and word from God over this weekend than I’ve had in a year. Definitely an experience to remember and I can’t wait to go back! Especially enjoyed singing a Swenglish version of Ronan Keating and seeing Sammy D again.

Saturday evening up the mountain with everyone apart from Jack; Everyone was singing- joining in with the campfire songs; sunset and scenery were special and we experienced it all together. Exploring the mountain with the Swedish people – got to know them better and it was something you can’t do in England. Sunday night on the beach. Got to discuss the weekend and look at the amazing scenery with a fire on the sand. *Weekend was too short! I would like to have stayed longer. ☺

Getting to know the Highway group better Seeing youth team-work – although sometimes in their own friendship groups, they all looked after each other and mucked in together – spoons, and attempted sunrise! Seeing Sam and where she lives and the work she does. The great hospitality from the YWAM group, and all the Swedes who were there. The great hospital at Uddevalla, and all the Swedes who were there! (Sorry, Jack!) Spending time with the Swedish adults. Felt as if we had known them for ages, not only a few hours. Morning worship sessions. The words God gave to people. The Hugs Circle on Sunday evening when the Swedes were departing. Walking through the forest to the island and sharing life’s experiences. Exploring Gothenburg with Strajnics, Sussi, Chris and Sam. Ellen Johansson, ambulance driver and guitariste extraordinaire. Sitting with Katie on the rocks watching mussels spitting out water, where the Skagerrak meets the Kattegat.
