Children at Highway

Our priority for the children of Highway is to teach, grow and encourage worshipping hearts and lives through our regular children's groups, family services and special events like 'Velocity', by using engaging curriculum, CD's, prayer, 'live' music & actions.

Information on Sunday's Children's groups

Children are very well catered for at Highway, with a dedicated team of CRB checked workers heading up the different Sunday groups, which are arranged according to school years. The children go out to their respective groups during the 9.30am celebration. These groups are: 

Minizone - For under 5s

Kids' Crazy Crew - For Reception to Year 4

Highway Heroes - For Years 5 & 6

Godzone - For Years 7 & 8

We are a church of all ages and our services reflect that, we like to worship God with enthusiasm and we encourage family worship and are very keen to inspire all ages.

We also worship God in a culturally relevant way but always in a way that is pleasing to Him, so we encourage all kinds of music and art-forms as we worship a creative God.

We touch God in prayer and worship and we touch our community in prayer and social action. Some people who visit us probably just want to slip in and sit at the back. We hope that we will always let you do that if you want but we are also really keen to meet people and we like to be hospitable, so you might get a warm welcome even if you are shy!

The church is a living organism that adapts, grows and is made up of relationships and our services reflect and are based on our relationship with God, with each other and the place we live in.
