Parliament dumps title ‘chairman’ …it’s ’sexist’
The House of Commons has ditched the ’sexist’ term “Chairman” from its proceedings and replaced it with “Chair”, but critics have slammed the move as “ridiculous”.
Conservative MPs Nadine Dorries and Sir Patrick Cormack lambasted the name changes, which were brought to the Commons by Minister for Women and Equality, Harriet Harman.

Spanish pro-life fury over abortion reforms
Tens of thousands of pro-life demonstrators have marched through Spanish cities protesting against a controversial bill which will allow abortion on demand.
The Bill, which was passed by the Spanish Senate last month, will introduce abortion on demand up to 14 weeks into a pregnancy.

Scottish law firm set to provide Sharia advice
A Scottish law firm has become the first in the country to offer clients advice on Sharia law alongside its conventional legal services.
