As a church, we see prayer as a vital part of our life together, a bit like the 'engine room' which powers our church life. We really value passing on a passion for prayer to the next generation and make it a priority to include the whole family in creative ways in our prayer room stations and gatherings.
There are a number of opportunities to pray with others during the week. We have a weekly on-line prayer session, which are just an hour long and fairly informal. They give us a chance to listen to God, to pray for one another, for our church and for wider national or world issues. These take place on zoom and the link is available via the weekly email sent to members of our community.
We normally have a monthly prayer day which gives us an opportunity to take a longer amount of time to devote to prayer, as individuals, in family groups or with a friend. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we have closed our prayer room and are using a 'virtual prayer room' instead, where resources are provided in the form of on-line reflections to follow, to inspire and guide. We have a Facebook prayer notice board offering a space for us to share our prayers, any scriptures, encouraging words, pictures or impressions following these times.
